Salary: Competitive Location: Hybrid, mainly remote with occasional face-to-face meetings The Role: We're seeking an accomplished and diligent Conference Research Assistant to join our Editorial team. This multifaceted role entails helping produce conferences on key issues in education policy - including the early years, schools and children’s services - that help move forward thinking for legislators, government, regulators and stakeholders affected by the important issues being discussed. You'll work closely with different areas of our business, demonstrating diplomacy, sensitivity, and a commitment to delivering quality results in a timely manner. Recent and upcoming conferences focus on: initial teacher training, alternative provision, sport and PE for children and young people, children’s mental health and online safety, early years, school inspection and level 3 qualifications reform.   • Researching issues, emerging trends, possible speakers and contacts across the policy landscape to a brief
  • Helping make sure conferences are as up-to-date, relevant and inclusive as possible, with no interested parties left out of discussing important developments
  • Drafting agendas, invitations to delegates and speakers, and text for our website
  • Liaising with speakers and Parliamentary chairs
  • Attending and contributing to the smooth operation of our seminars and receptions - online, in Westminster and elsewhere in the UK
