We're seeking an enthusiastic Trainee Emissions Monitoring Technician to join our team. In this exciting field-based role, you'll be involved in measuring and analysing industrial emissions, helping businesses comply with environmental regulations and contributing to the protection of air quality. What You'll Be Doing: Providing high quality MCERTS and UKAS accredited stack emissions testing Working on diverse industrial sites including power plants, factories, and manufacturing facilities Using specialised equipment to collect and analyse emissions samples Preparing detailed and accurate technical reports for the client Working outdoors and in industrial settings as part of a supportive team Helping businesses ensure they're operating within environmental regulations Learning technical skills that are highly valued in the environmental protection sector No Prior Experience? No Problem Full training provided - we'll teach you everything you need to know about environmental testing Learn to use specialised MCERTS environmental monitoring equipment Gain valuable certifications paid for by SOCOTEC Develop expertise in an important environmental protection field What You'll Need: A degree or equivalent in an environmental/scientific discipline An interest to develop a career in stack emissions monitoring using manual sampling and instrumental analysing techniques Full UK driving licence, with flexibility to travel and undertake multi-day overnight stays when required Prepared to work in varied outdoor industrial environments, including at height, which can be physically and mentally demanding. Good IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Interest in environmental protection and sustainability About Air & Emissions Our UKAS accredited Air & Emissions Team work throughout the UK conducting industrial emissions testing.
