Due to continued growth and recent contract awards Mivan Limited are currently looking for additional students and graduates to join the business Summer 2024 across multiple areas of the business.
Mivan is a dynamic and progressive specialist joinery and interior fit-out contractor which has built a reputation for excellence and innovation and has an international track record of achievement within a broad range of sectors including luxury hotels, prime residential, commercial and marine. We currently have opportunities for a Graduate Design Technician.
When you join Mivan, you will be enrolled onto the Navigate Programme which has been designed to provide a structured pathway to support you from the beginning of your new career whilst helping you to reach your highest potential. As a Graduate Design Technician, you will assist the Design Team in the preparation of details construction drawings of bespoke joinery, furniture, architectural components and fitting for buildings and fit-out contracts.
Assist the Design Team to produce clear, concise, accurate drawings in accordance to deadline/programme as required and to QA standards using AutoCAD LT.
Amend drawings according to feedback from Design Manager, Factory, Project Manager or Client
Travel will be required to attend site visits, client meetings and design meetings.
To participate fully in all training and development activities and attend all related courses and other training as arranged. Work diligently towards developing the skills, knowledge and expertise to progress to Design Technician level.
The ideal candidate will be pro-active, enthusiastic and self-motivated with the ability to think in 3 dimensions and have an interest in Computer Aided Design.
Previous experience in technical detailing, AutoCAD or joinery would be an advantage.
