The Position

As a Machinery Safety Consultant with Finch, you will assist with developing and delivering our core consulting capabilities across multiple sectors including construction, food & drink, agriculture, energy, manufacturing, and more. You will deliver new business streams and client services working collaboratively with your colleagues and sharing client relationships. You will grow and share your contact network across the community to maximise business opportunities.

The successful candidate will be invited to join our 6-month onboarding programme, where you will learn the full Finch process: from how enquiries are dealt with to client visits, report writing, and following up. During this time, you will have the support of a buddy and also a mentor to guide you through the process.

Profile

We are looking for a Machinery Safety Consultant to join our consulting community, based in the UK. We are particularly looking for an engineer with a strong background in electrical control systems. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team, assisting with developing and delivering our core capabilities across multiple sectors. The main responsibility for this role will be to undertake engineering and health and safety work in our consultancy and expert witness services.

Key requirements

  • Functional Safety Engineer & Chartership with a Professional Body.
  • 10-15 years’ experience
  • Experience in Machinery Safety Compliance CE/UKCA, PUWER
  • Experience of Control Systems
  • Experience with software programming (PLC, C+) would be beneficial but not essential
