Hours:

37.5 per week although part-time working will be considered.

Purpose of the role

To manage and safeguard the companies’ sales ledger by maximising cash flow, minimising bad debts, reducing overdue percentages and ensuring accounts are maintained within the group policies and reporting requirements.

Key responsibilities

•Chasing ledgers both verbally and by letter – ensuring the cash collection procedures are adhered to within the timescales set.
•Posting and accurately allocating cash receipts.
•Highlighting any potential risks and concerns to the Senior AR Controller.
•Ensuring the sales ledger is always kept clean.
•Credit checking sales orders prior to dispatch.
•Reviewing credit limits on a monthly basis and adhere to our credit insurance policy.
•Assisting with group and external audits.
•Assisting in the implementation of future changes to current processes.
•Providing holiday cover and assistance when required.
•Developing and maintaining good working relationships with colleagues, visitors, customers and managers.
•Any other duties

•Strong attention to detail.
•The ability to work productively, accurately, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales.
•Strong communication, negotiation and teamworking skills.
•Strong administrative and IT skills such as MS Office applications - Outlook, Excel & Word.
•Demonstrable and effective time management skills.
•Must be a team player but also work well on your own initiative.
•Finance background is desirable although not essential.
