To to unprecedented growth and expansion, Randd are now seeking to hire an experienced R&D Tax Compliance Consultant / Manager. Your primary responsibility is to assist clients in maximising their Research and Development (R&D) tax incentives and ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations. You will work closely with clients from various industries, providing expertise in identifying eligible R&D activities, preparing documentation, and navigating complex tax laws to optimise tax benefits. You will manage a varied portfolio of Clients, based across the UK, spanning various business sectors.

Key Responsibilities will  include :

Client Consultations -  

  • Engage with clients to understand their business operations, technological advancements, and R&D activities.
  • Assess and analyse the eligibility of R&D projects for tax incentives.
  • Conduct thorough research to identify qualifying R&D activities and associated expenditures.
  • Collaborate with technical teams and subject matter experts to gather necessary information for substantiating R&D claims.

Documentation & Compliance - 

  • Prepare comprehensive documentation supporting R&D tax credit claims, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations related to R&D, and ensure clients remain compliant.

Financial Analysis - 

  • Analyse financial data to quantify and justify R&D tax credit claims.
  • Provide financial modelling and forecasting related to R&D expenditures and tax benefits.

Client Relationship Management - 

  • Foster strong client relationships by serving as a trusted advisor on R&D tax compliance matters.
  • Communicate complex tax concepts in a clear and concise manner to clients.

Cross-functional collaboration - 

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including tax professionals, accountants, and legal experts, to ensure a holistic approach to R&D tax compliance.

Audit Support - 

  • Assist clients during tax audits by providing documentation, explanations, and support to defend R&D tax credit claims.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and changes in tax legislation related to R&D.
  • Propose and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of R&D tax compliance services.

Required skills & experience :

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in tax consulting, accounting, or a related field.
  • Previous experience specifically focused on R&D tax compliance is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree, and ideally an advanced degree or professional certification (CPA, CMA, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of tax laws, particularly those related to R&D tax credits and incentives.
  • Experience in preparing and supporting R&D tax credit claims.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance
