Job Description

Job Title: Senior Group Reporting Accountant

Location: Dartford - On Site

Department: Finance

Reports To: Head of Reporting

Business Unit: Corporate Central Services – Central Finance Team

Direct Reports: None

Main Interfaces: Business Planning & Analysis Team, Business Unit Finance Teams

Salary - Up to £75,000 + Car Allowance

Job Purpose

Support year-end financial statements and monthly management accounts reporting. Drive alignment between financial and management accounts, enhance group control environment, and support long-term contract accounting reviews.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review Group consolidated financial accounts and UK statutory accounts.
  • Develop technical accounting papers for year-end audit.
  • Prepare a few monthly management accounts.
  • Review long-term contracts in line with IFRS 15.
  • Support control environment testing.
  • Assist with covenant and stakeholder reports.
  • Handle ad hoc reporting tasks as needed.

Required Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • Qualified accountant (ICAEW, ICAS, or equivalent) with 2+ years post-qualification experience in a top ten accountancy firm.
  • Experience with consolidated management reporting, large multi-currency group consolidations, and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, financial literacy, and commercial awareness.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and flexible.

Desirable:

  • Experience in the engineering or construction industry.
