Do you have a Sheet Metal background? Would you be competent working with thin gauge metal in a precision engineering workshop environment? If so, then please read on The basics: Location: Sandiacre Job title: Sheet Metal Worker Industry: Precision engineering Salary: Up to £35000 DOE Hours: Monday - Thursday - 7.00am-4.00pm, Friday - 7.00am-12.00pm Key responsibilities of the Sheet Metal Worker:

  • Includes bending, cutting, pressing, riveting, marking out, measuring, assembly, deburr, stretching and inspecting all to tight tolerances
  • Working to drawings, sketches and verbal instructions.
  • Setting and operating machinery supplied for the manufacture of sheet metal components.
The ideal candidate / Sheet metal worker may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:
  • Time Served Apprenticeship
  • Competent to run various machinery in a sheet metal fabrication shop.
  • Previous experience working with thin gauge sheet metal
