Scope of the Role
We are looking to recruit a driven and energetic fully qualified Finance Manager with experience to manage the Finance team and maximise the ABT's financial strength. The Finance Manager will play a functional role and will be responsible for minimising financial risk, managing cashflow forecasts and financial performance of ABT.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The below list is not exhaustive, but the main duties and responsibilities will be:
Overall responsibility for all day-to-day accounting activities
Management of Finance Team
Producing Monthly Management Accounts in line with accounting standards and group accounting policies
Overhead and Margin Budget analysis and reporting process
Manage and complete the annual external financial audit and tax computation.
Cashflow forecasting
Financial Planning and forecasting
Reporting Financial KPI’s
Implementing processes to ensure financial KPI targets are achieved
Identify improvement initiatives within the business to improve profitability and cash flow including sourcing Grants
Automating tasks using technology
Treasury management
Competing statutory filings, including VAT
Deal with all financial and regulatory filings correspondence
Carry out any other duties not listed above as may reasonably be expected
Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
The postholder will possess a range of the following knowledge, skills, and behaviours:
Qualified ACCA/CIMA equivalent or better
Experience of a senior role within Finance function
Leadership & organisational skills
Attention to detail and accuracy of work is paramount
Deadline orientated
Great interpersonal and communications skills and able to successfully communicate with people at all levels, both financially and non-financially
Advanced knowledge and highly experienced user of Excel
Experienced ERP user (IFS experience is beneficial)
A willingness to learn, ask questions and take proactive actions
Have a strong, all-round finance background and ideally worked within a manufacturing environment previously
Be a self-motivator and can challenge in the interest of continuous improvement
Job Details and Benefits
~37.5 hours per week - Monday-Friday (08:30-17:00 Monday-Thursday and 08:30-14:00 Friday)
~£45-50k salary DOE
~ Bonus Scheme
~25 days annual leave in addition to 8 days bank holiday
~ Pension Scheme - 4% ER and 5% EE
