The BMS Engineer shall utilise a strong knowledge of industry engineering fundamentals, business operations and the ability to work with little or no supervision in order to carry out commissioning or maintenance activities associated with engineered project & maintenance business for Clients, Contractors or End Users.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
• Support the development of, and maintain, a culture of “Safety First and Foremost”.
• Use wiring diagrams and specifications to accurately interpret requirements.
• Support and maintain a collaborative working environment with external and internal customers and stake holders and create a high performance culture in Project Delivery Teams that enables the business to meet and exceed both customer needs and business objectives.
• Maintain and comply with internal controls, reporting, process and Authorities Matrix in order to mitigate commercial risk to protect the businesses assets and reputation.
• Ensure that work is carried out in an organized manner, in conformance with all contractual and regulatory requirements and that all policies and processes within Horizon Controls are adhered to.
• Identify, and where appropriate correct, wiring errors resulting from incorrect drawings.
• Perform physical wiring checks and plant start-ups as required
• Provide relevant technical support to other trades and sub-contractors as applicable.
• Diagnose system defects, carry out troubleshooting as necessary and determine the appropriate corrective action.

• Carry out system adjustment and calibration & Record all settings by use of setting sheets designed for the purpose.
• Carry out those modifications to software programmes that are required to ensure the effective operation of the system.
• Participate in the handover of the system to the customer and ensure that all appropriate handover documentation is completed.
• Respond to customer requests by investigating all reported problems, analysing system requirements and checking or testing system components.
• Provide operator training, as required, to the customers nominated representatives.

Experience & Skills and Location
• Candidates must have experience commissioning or servicing BMS and Control systems of one or more of the following manufacturers - Trend, Siemens, Tridium, Cylon, Johnson and Honeywell
• Candidates must have passed the Manufacturer mandated training requirements to carry out commissioning of one or more of the manufacturers products above or have the experience to do so.
• Candidates will ideally have an HNC or HND in Building Services or a Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Candidates should have a strong value set that match those of Energy Solutions Group Operations Team - Safety, Honesty, Integrity and Customer.
