Senior Software Engineer II - Machine Learning (ML Ops)

EverQuote is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our growing Machine Learning team

As a senior member of the Machine Learning Engineering team, you will be instrumental in delivering architecture improvements that will scale EverQuote’s Machine Learning Platforms.

In this role, you will build next-generation engineering platforms to serve innovative Data Science solutions in EverQuote’s production environment while also making sure the existing platforms are scalable, performant and easy to maintain. You will be joining a team of talented, collaborative engineers and data scientists eager to grow and deliver. You will shine as a mentor to this team, providing technical insight and guidance as the team grows.

  • A third-level degree in an Information Technology or Computer Science related field. 
  • You will have 5+ years of professional programming experience including experience at a software product company
  • You have professional experience with at least one of the following areas: data engineering, machine learning engineering, and full-stack engineering
  • You have experience in at least one of the following disciplines; supporting cloud platforms at scale (preferably AWS), working with infrastructure as code, container orchestration environments (preferably Kuberbetes), and observability platforms.

  • You have working knowledge of Machine Learning methodologies and popular ML packages such as Scikit-learn, Tensorflow/Keras or PyTorch
  • You have experience with Python packages for data manipulation such as Pandas and Numpy, and web frameworks such as Django or Flask/Sanic. 
  • You have worked in a microservice-based architecture and are proficient in Docker and Kubernetes, experience with managing Kubernetes related infrastructure on GKE or EKS is a plus
  • You have a keen sense about ML related technologies, stay on top of industry trends and actively help the team to expand the tech stack.
