R2R Accountant – Law Firm

Description:

I am delighted to be retained by a leading International Legal Firm in Belfast who are seeking to speak with experienced Technical RTR Accountants, in particular people that are coming with goo d experience of implementing process improvements for different accounting methods and have a strong understanding of account reconciliations, balance sheet accounts and management accounts, statutory accounts etc . Ideally, the successful candidate will have experience from Big Four or similar sized firms. This position will be a key hire in to a large wider team.

The Role:

  • Preparation and posting of month end journals
  • Journal entries for the assigned entities in line with SLAs
  • Producing accurate and timely monthly management accounts
  • Prep of month end and quarter P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Reviewing outputs from Accounts Payable, Banking and Accounts receivable
  • Preparing annual and quarterly accounts required under the solicitors’ regulations, including resolution of any queries or issues
  • Preparation of Tax filings (VAT, Corporation Tax etc )
  • Assist with internal and external financial audits
  • Provide financial data and analysis to support tax addback

The Person:

  • Newly Qualified or Part Qualified with 1yr of commercial experience PQE within Big Four or Similar
  • ACA Chartered or ACCA Certified Accountant
  • Good track record of system expertise and process improvements
  • Advanced MS Excel skills , Accounting packages such as SAP
  • Ability to handle a high volume of work, demonstrating excellent administration skills and attention to detail.
  • Aptitude for building relationships, influencing upwards and laterally , taking ownership of tasks, and keeping colleagues informed of progress.
  • High level of commercial acumen
  • Understanding of GAAP, IFRS and general accounting principles
