Cammack Recruitment are working with an independent Insurance Broker based in the heart of London City who are seeking a Claims Technician to join their fantastic business.
The main responsibility of the role will be reporting into the Claims Manager and be assisting in the Claims Department handling claims from first notification through to conclusion within Commercial and Personal Lines/Home Insurance.
Handling all non-marine claims including mid/high net worth Household UK and Overseas, Commercial, Liabilities, Professional Indemnity, Property Owners, Motor Fleet, Group Travel and Personal Accident, from notification through to settlement/conclusion
Setting up new claims on the relevant systems (IBS/ECF/market platforms) and notifying relevant insurers
Administration of clients’ claims, including issuing claims forms &/or gathering First Notification of Loss information
General communications via letter, email and telephone
Maintenance and production of claims experiences
Ensuring system records are kept up to date, claim activity is recorded, including accurate reserves
Maintain, process and submit claims bordereaux (Excel spreadsheets and utilising DA SATs and ECF systems or such other platforms) monthly or as required and manage Loss Funds applicable to various binding authority contracts
Conduct role in a professional manner at all times, adhering to Company policies and procedures, and those of relevant third parties, such as Lloyds of London
Abide by the rules and requirements imposed on Fidentia Insurance Brokers Limited, including but not limited to, FCA/PRA regulations, Lloyd’s Codes of Practices, HMT requirements in respect of financial crime prevention and relevant Legislation, such as General Data Protection Regulation Act 2018 (or as amended)
Ensure that you maintain a level of competence for your role and remain up to date regarding technical requirements and courses/modules issued via Fidentia’s training platform
