Job Description: As a Project Coordinator at our client, you will play a crucial role in supporting the successful execution of construction projects from inception to completion. You will be responsible for facilitating communication, coordinating resources, and ensuring project timelines and objectives are met efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Scheduling:

    • Collaborate with project managers to develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
    • Assist in the creation and maintenance of project schedules using project management software.
    • Monitor project progress and identify potential delays or issues, proactively implementing solutions to keep projects on track.

  2. Communication and Coordination:

    • Serve as a central point of contact for internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients, facilitating effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Organize and lead regular project meetings, documenting action items, decisions, and follow-ups.
    • Ensure timely dissemination of project information, updates, and documentation to relevant stakeholders.

  3. Resource Management:

    • Coordinate the allocation of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, in alignment with project requirements and budget constraints.
    • Track resource utilization and availability, identifying potential bottlenecks or resource shortages and proposing solutions.

  4. Quality Control and Assurance:

    • Assist in implementing and maintaining quality control processes to ensure adherence to project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct periodic inspections and audits to assess project quality and identify areas for improvement.

  5. Risk Management:

    • Identify potential risks and hazards associated with project activities, environments, or stakeholders.
    • Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize the impact of unforeseen events on project delivery.

  6. Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings, and change orders.
    • Generate regular progress reports, status updates, and performance metrics for internal review and client communication.

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of construction processes, terminology, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
