Role Description
The purpose of the role is to add value to the fast-growing Bank by providing strong all round reconciliation skills including bank, source system, suspense account and various balance sheet reconciliations. The role will have daily deliverables that need to be actioned timely and accurately as well as month end responsibilities to assist the overall Financial Control function.
Principal Accountabilities
- Full ownership of all daily bank reconciliations for Allica and its subsidiaries
- Communicate any differences timely, accurately and informatively to various stakeholders across the business.
- Provide feedback and search for solutions on error and discrepancy investigations with appropriate stakeholders.
- Lead meetings where necessary with colleagues to confidently discuss and resolve outstanding issues.
- To create any additional ongoing reconciliations as required.
- Preparation and posting of finance journals where necessary.
- Involvement in testing of implementation of automated bank reconciliations and support where required for future projects.
- Work cross departmentally, especially with Operations & Treasury functions, to continually enhance and improve current processes.
- Work to tight month end deadlines in order to action deliverables.
- Provide ad-hoc support to the wider group of business when necessary.
Personal Attributes & Experience
- Extremely high level of attention to detail
- Strong and proven experience of all types of reconciliations
- Self-reviewal attitude with pride in minimal errors/mistakes
- Experience in a similar role were taking ownership and being a self-starter are vital to success.
- High ability to interpret and manipulate varying sources of data/reconciliations.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Ability to challenge and improve processes and procedures.
- Strong MS Excel and data analysis skills
