Behaviour Support Assistant - Bolton - September start

Are you looking for work in the Education sector?

Do you have a passion for working with young people with behavioural difficulties or SEMH (social, emotional, mental health needs)?

We are currently looking for a Behaviour Support Assistant to deliver person centred support to individuals who present high levels of complex needs and challenging behaviours associated with learning disabilities, autistic spectrum conditions and mental health problems. You will be working in a school and supporting children and young people who need 1:1 support for multiple reasons, such as:

Children in Looked After Care
Speech and language difficulties
Physical and mental health issues, disabilities and learning difficulties

Some experience working with children and young people who display challenging behaviour
Experience of de-escalation training would be advantageous
The school would also consider candidates from youth work backgrounds, or similar roles
Willingness to enhance skills with professional training and development

This is a great opportunity, to help enrich and develop vulnerable young people's lives. You will be working with an excellent team and joining a fantastic school where you can make a difference, playing a key role in the development of students.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
