Our client is a major Waste Management company, and they are seeking a skilled Heavy Plant Fitter to join their team. The role includes working on a range of mobile and fixed Heavy Plant Machinery.
Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on heavy mobile and fixed plant.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs in a timely manner.
• Carry out preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability and longevity of equipment.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment history.
• Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to coordinate maintenance schedules and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Proven experience as a heavy plant fitter or similar role, preferably in the waste management or construction industry.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in heavy machinery.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance best practices and techniques.
• Flexibility to work occasional weekends or overtime as needed.
