Field Service Engineer

Our client supplies, installs and services a range of industrial Battery Chargers for use within industrial Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS). We are currently seeking a Field Service Engineer to join a nationwide team responsible for servicing Battery Chargers and their related Battery Packs at commercial/industrial locations. Increase your chances of an interview by reading the following overview of this role before making an application. Responsibilities of the role will include:

  • To organise & complete service visits according to manufacturers recommendations. - To position, install and commission equipment at customer sites.
  • To repair equipment.
  • To advise Head Office of any sales opportunities identified during the course of duties.
  • To promote the company and act in a professional and diplomatic manner at all times.
  • To adhere to quality standards at all times.
  • Survey new and existing sites for installation purposes
  • Feedback quality issues to the office
  • Provide Technical Support to colleagues and customers as required.
Any of the following experience and qualifications would be beneficial although training will be given:
  • Electrical/Electronic fault finding
  • Electromechanical Installation e.g. BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regs
  • Understanding of SLA, NiCD and Plante batteries
  • Experience working with Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), UKPN, National Grid or London Underground would be beneficial
  • UK Driving License and eligibility to work in UK are essential
