APS (Arthington Property Services) were established in 2020 by Leeds Federated Housing Association as an “in-house” contractor to deliver a selection of planned improvement works programmes directly for the organisation. Primarily focussed on Kitchen, bathroom, window and door replacement, APS will be seeking to provide a delivery model that provides LFHA with value for money, flexibility in approach and greater customer experience during major intrusive works to their homes

As Management Accountant, you would be joining Leeds Federated to lead on financial management and reporting for their Arthington Property Services (APS) division. You'll have a forward-thinking, continuous improvement approach to your role and will provide efficient and effective management of APS accounts.

You’ll be an integral part of the Finance team which ensures efficient and effective control of the Association’s accounts and finances ensuring a high quality, timely and accurate service to the organisation’s staff.

Financial Management Information: Prepare APS management accounts, balance sheets, and cashflows, providing variance analysis.
Payroll Administration: Ensure accurate processing of APS payroll, including starters/leavers and associated procedures.
Process Implementation / Improvement: Financial Statements & Returns: Prepare delegated elements of annual financial statements and support with Board reports.
Team Responsibility: Mentor and support colleagues within the Finance and APS teams.

This is a Management Accountant role, so we would expect candidates to possess a relevant accounting qualification and proven experience in a similar role.

Robust knowledge of accounting regulations, legislation and current practice
Experience of using computerised financial systems and software
