Senior Electronics Design Engineer

As a senior electronics design engineer you will be developing cutting edge electronics and firmware for new, and existing products and bespoke customer specific applications across all our product lines. Workload can vary from creating electronics for new product design to meet client or internal specifications through to supporting an existing client’s request to upgrade or change a system in the field.
Daily tasks will include electronic circuit development, microcontroller programming, software development, acceptance testing and generation and review of technical documentation.
You will be a key member of a small R&D team of dedicated and enthusiastic electronic/firmware and mechanical development engineers. Design of new products from concept to in field introduction with an emphasis on simplicity of operation, reliability and manufacturability.
Providing engineering support to the existing product range.
Liaising with internal departments such as Sales, Procurement, Projects and Production to ensure the best technical solution is provided in all instances.
Creating & maintaining engineering documentation such as specifications, proposals, test plans, reports and manuals.
Analog electronics design and development experience.
Digital Signal Processing design and development experience.
Extensive experience with high level development languages – preferably one or more of C++, and C.
Microcontroller C and assembly
Windows
Understanding of sensors, data gathering and distribution of data to various sources.
Electronic/Electrical engineering degree or equivalent industry experience.
A number of years of professional experience in electronics & firmware development.
