Primary Objectives The primary duty of the Management Accountant is responsibility for all aspects related to the management of overheads and the related cost accounts. This includes taking ownership of the relevant sections of the Profit & Loss and balance sheet, managing month end processes, regular reporting requirements and ad hoc analysis. Primary Responsibilities In this role we will count on you to:- Manage all aspects related to overheads within the month end close process.
- Prepare and post journals for recurring and ad hoc entries.
- Generate month end reports from Hyperion and SmartView
- Review monthly P&L results and prepare variance analysis with corrective actions where necessary.
- Conduct monthly review of permanent and contract labour.
- Prepare and post journals relating to labour where necessary.
- Manage balance sheet reconciliations for; Accruals, Prepayments & Professional Services
- Manage all aspects of professional service fees; invoices, PO's, budgets, etc
- Assist with preparation of annual corporate overhead budget.
- Provide support to the external and internal audit processes.
- Conduct ad hoc analysis of costs when required.
- Provide ad hoc support to the Finance and Accounting Manager as required.
- Ensure Management Accountant processes are documented and reviewed regularly.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- ACCA / CIMA part-qualified or recently qualified
- Previous experience of working with accounting systems and ERP, ideally EBS and Oracle
- Competency in MS Office, specifically Excel
- Proven experience of working in a similar finance role, minimum 3yrs experience
- Must be a team player, willing to step into the wider team roles when required.
- Strong understanding of processes and ability to work within a framework to make things happen.
- Analytic with strong academic background
- Structured and organised in their approach.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- A good communicator and collaborate effectively with a broad range of non-financial staff.
- Able to work comfortably in an agile environment with the ability to make rapid decisions in a fast-moving company.
