Operations Director Based East Midlands Job ref: CST/60922 Salary: Highly attractive salary and benefits package The Company: Part of a multi-national group, our client is a leading plastics manufacturer with a strong reputation for providing innovative solutions to a fast paced and demanding customer base. The Role: * Senior member of the Executive Leadership Team * Responsible for the development and implementation of the operations strategy and contributing to the wider strategic direction of the business across a range of markets it operates in. * Breadth of the role touches most aspects of the business, including oversight of a significant manufacturing footprint, logistics, purchasing and ownership of the “end to end” order fulfilment process. * Requires a high degree of teamwork and collaboration with engineering, sales, finance and HR. Candidate Profile: * Minimum of 7 years senior operational management experience covering the key functions of manufacturing, supply chain and health & safety * Qualified to a minimum of degree level the candidate will possess a high degree of intellectual rigour and a desire to analyse and optimise the use of data in the business to drive strategy and performance * A track record of working with an established S&OP process * Significant people management experience ideally with teams of over 150 * Knowledgeable in Lean manufacturing techniques and how to use these as a template to deliver operational excellence * Ambitious, persistent, resolute with gravitas and a demonstrable 'can do' attitude that both colleagues and customers buy into For reasons of better legibility, the simultaneous use of the language forms male, female and diverse (f/m/d) is avoided.
