We are seeking a Principal Engineer to be based out of our Southampton office.
Acting as Project Manager on a wide range of projects whilst helping to grow and develop our work with clients
Significant traffic engineering experience with desirable experience in traffic signals design and modelling
Preparing and reviewing reports, drawings, schedules and other documents in accordance with local procedures and guidance
Being responsible for the financial performance of projects
Liveable Places work with a wide range of local authority & private clients from across the UK to help them achieve their place making ambitions. We deliver a wide range of schemes from concept to delivery that include public realm, traffic engineering, road safety, traffic signals, pedestrian / traffic modelling, active travel, and parking. We have a strong track record working closely with our clients and this role provides a great opportunity to have a pivotal role within Liveable Places and help support and steer its growth going forward.
A civil engineering degree or equivalent
Proven ability to lead and manage project teams and individuals
Transport, traffic signals, road safety or highway engineering experience
With the ability to liaise with others including public sector officials, members of the public and other senior colleagues
