£330 - £360 per day - Depending on experience
As the Project Engineer you will be expected to support the project manager with a variety of tasks including the basics of quality control, temporary works, health & safety, design and supervising the engineering team. With this we are also looking for candidates who can take the lead, overseeing individual RC frame packages while reporting to the onsite Project Manager. These roles offer the possibility to progress to Project Management within a short period of time (1-2 years) if candidates can show the drive, organisation and technical ability.
Our client is a leading name in the RC frame & groundwork subcontract sector in and around London. Candidates must be degree qualified in civil engineering and must have a strong, stable career having worked for RC frame and groundwork subcontractors.
Post graduate experience needs to be a minimum of 3 years and ideally candidates will be project engineering already with a rival contractor. The initial projects are based in Wandsworth, Cambridge, Bristol or Barking and further projects will follow in and around London. Initial packages are valued between £15m to £45m each and will include slip-form cores and multi storey reinforced concrete frames (plus associated groundwork’s). I am happy to consider people who are CIS, PAYE or self-employed.
I have over 18 years of experience in civil engineering & construction recruitment, during which time, I have specialised in the niche sectors of concrete frames, groundworks, basement construction, and demolition.
I work with the vast majority of the groundwork & concrete frame businesses in the UK and I can help not only introduce you but can give you up-to-date information on each of them (the good parts and the less positive parts - none of them are perfect, but some are pretty close), helping you make an informed decision so you can take your career forward.
