An exciting opportunity has arisen for inspirational and motivated clinicians and trainees (t-ACPs) to join our growing Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) team at the Great North Trauma and Emergency Care Centre based at the Royal Victoria Infirmary. You will have extensive experience of working in an ED or emergency care pathway setting, as a Senior Nurse or AHP and the ambition to commit to a three-year training programme (MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice).

We would also welcome trainee ACPs who are part-way through their training who are looking to move to Newcastle.

The clinician will use advanced knowledge and skills in to undertake clinical assessments, make decisions based on clinical reasoning and initiate, evaluate and modify a range of interventions. They will also provide professional senior clinical leadership and support within the ED multi professional team.

The role of trainee ACP involves a programme of academic and work-placed based education, supported by an Educational Supervisor. This will ultimately result in credentialing with The Royal College of Emergency Medicine (RCEM). You will be expected and supported to complete an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice, undertaking a range of clinically focused modules in line with the requirements for the role, including independent prescribing and clinical skills (if not already held).
