As they embark on an exciting period of growth and technological advancements, they are seeking a talented and experienced Principal Linux Infrastructure Engineer to join their dynamic IT team.Your new roleAs the Principal Linux Infrastructure Engineer, you will report to the Head of IT and play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of our Linux enterprise architecture. You will also lead significant technical projects, modernise the infrastructure, and ensure the implementation of best practices.What you'll need to succeedExtensive experience administering IT systems and providing third-line support in medium to large environments.Proficiency in Linux administration and DevOps CD/CI with knowledge of Jenkins and Puppet scripting.Programming knowledge in languages such as AWK, DASH, BASH, YAML, RHEL, PUPPET, C++, C, JAVA, RUBY, and PHP.Configuration and support experience with services like NGINX, Supervisors, RabbitMQ, Jenkins, and JAVA Jar files.In-depth understanding of Linux security, SSL, proxy SSL, and Oracle wallets connection concepts.Self-motivated, organised, and experienced in man-management and presentation skills.Hybrid working model, allowing for remote work.25 days' holiday plus bank holidays.6% pension contribution.Discretionary annual bonus scheme based on your contribution and company performance.Private healthcare.Hays EA is a trading division of Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited and acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
