Senior Data Analyst - Protect Group Location: Leeds, UK Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

Protect Group is a global business founded by a serial entrepreneur and a highly experienced and successful executive team – with its Head Office located in Uruguay and 14 other offices located around the world. Following rapid year-on-year growth over the past 3 years, Protect Group are now expanding their Product team further and putting a strategic focus into new and existing product development, and data.

Protect Group operate a global Membership Programme for the travel, hospitality and events industries that provide a range of refund services that enhance customer experience and boost revenue. For example, we help online booking agents provide a full refundable booking option to their customers.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Analyst to join a dynamic team of Protect People, who can take ownership of everything regarding data, the analysis and interpretation of data to identify opportunities and insights from our data sets.

We would expect you to be a natural innovator with an entrepreneurial spirit and attention to detail, and who has a real hunger to deliver intelligent insights to our various teams within the business to achieve commercial objectives.

You will be responsible for owning your role and will work closely with our Lead Data Scientist, Chief Digital Officer and Chief Technology Officers. As the Senior Data Analyst, your insights and analyses will be instrumental in shaping our pricing & content strategies, engagement tactics and to help optimize our customer experiences. Your findings will empower our teams and direct our machine learning algorithms to make well-informed decisions that resonate with our online audience. Experience across the above industries or any disruptive technology brand would be advantageous but not essential as long as you have a strong work ethic and be always willing to learn.

Identify trends, patterns, and insights related to our consumers’ behaviours and pricing dynamics, from our vast online datasets.
Craft visually compelling dashboards and reports that communicate statistical and empirical analytics on portfolio performance, customer behaviour, and process effectiveness.
Act as a subject matter expert on data and fostering a culture of data-driven excellence.

Proven expertise in data analysis within an e-commerce or online business context.
Proficiency in data manipulation tools (Python, Pandas, Spark, SQL) and data visualization tools (Apache Superset, Tableau, Power BI, ggplot2) and MS Excel.
Grasp of pricing strategies, market dynamics, and consumer behaviour in the online space is a plus.
You must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, and agile environment, capable of adapting to change and other duties with a positive can-do attitude.
Creative, thinking outside the box to deliver innovative solutions to problems.
Fluent English is a requirement of the role.
