Salary £45,000 per annum
Ring Containers is a leading manufacturer specializing in bottle-in-box packaging for liquids. We offer a unique and sustainable packaging solution, particularly known for our patented anti-glug neck feature which facilitates easier pouring. We are now seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our supportive team.
Role Purpose:
You will ensure the safe and efficient operation of all equipment, perform scheduled preventative maintenance, execute production equipment changeovers, and troubleshoot a variety of issues including hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical problems. This role requires maintaining accurate records for maintenance, parts inventory, and emergency repairs, promoting excellent housekeeping habits, coordinating equipment training, and effectively communicating with management. This is a highly skilled position that involves a combination of electrical and mechanical duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently to meet company OEE and quality expectations.
- Address inefficiencies in production equipment proactively.
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical equipment, including PLCs and building electrical systems.
- Interpret schematics, manuals, blueprints, and diagrams.
- Perform preventative maintenance and production equipment mould changeovers.
- Maintain records to support the EAM system.
- Collaborate with managers for production equipment training and personal development.
- Engage actively in plant teams and activities to foster a World Class environment.
- Operate industrial machinery in compliance with OSHA regulations.

Requirements:
- Proven experience in a maintenance role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Experience with advanced skills in hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with PLCs and electronic systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
