Marketing Executive, Grow London Local

Grow London Local, a new front door for SMEs in London: There are 1.06 million Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) in London, which account for half of London’s jobs. Many of these businesses are ‘microbusinesses,’ employing fewer than 10 people. These businesses play a key role at the heart of communities across London.
The mayor’s vision is for all Londoners, no matter what their background or neighbourhood, to have access to the support and services they need to start, sustain, and succeed in business.
Purpose of role
To support on delivery of B2B marketing strategies that are data-led, results focussed, cost effective and meet London & Partners’ needs.
To deliver a range of marketing activity over paid and free channels to drive leads for the 121 support sessions with BSMs (Business Support Manager’s).
To deliver a range of marketing activity that drives leads and awareness of the Skills service that will be launched in May 2024.
Working with wider team, to define, curate and create content and collateral for a broad range of usage.
- Depending on activity, to manage or assist the delivery of innovative, impactful marketing from inception through to evaluation.
- Work closely with the wider team to scope, create or commission, and distribute content that is informed by audience insight and meets business needs via owned, earned, paid and partner channels.
- Provide professional and efficient marketing support for all business activities and events, collateral production, ensuring everything is on message and on brand.
- Be a workstream lead, including planning and taking responsibility for delivery, of one or more marketing areas.
- Supplier and stakeholder engagement
- Support on marketing and outreach activity e.g.attending events, printing or photoshoots
- Provide day-to-day team and user support (via contact us) for Grow London Local
- Ensure business support directory and supplier provision information on the project website is accurate
- Any other reasonable duties as allocated by the line manager
- Proficient marketing skills and relevant marketing qualification
- Demonstrable experience in working with multiple stakeholders
- Proven experience in B2B marketing environment
- Committed to continuous learning and evolving with industry best practice
- Desire to work in an agile, collaborative marketing environment and as part of diverse project teams
- Good communication skills, written and verbal
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with CRM systems e.g., Salesforce is desirable
- Competence with marketing performance monitoring tools such as Google Analytics, Hootsuite is desirable. Willingness to develop these skills is essential
