100% small animal, single site, independent practice, owned by 2 vets. Both vets have been at the practice for over 20 years.Here you have a say in the future of your practice and truly can become part of a stable team. We can offer flexible working hours to get the best work / life balance for everyone.Very low turnover of staff resulting in a stable team who work well together, supporting each other, as well as clients and their pets.We have been established for over 60 years and strive to provide bespoke individual care for all our patients, owners and staff.The low number of clients per vet enables the team to spent more time on each case. We get to know the owners and their pets as individuals and treat them as such.

We are located in Blackburn, Lancashire in a small town near the Ribble Valley and Forest of Bowland with easy access to the Yorkshire Dales and Lake district

Currently we usually open 8.30am to 4.30pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and 8.30 to 6pm Monday and Friday.

Occasionally we open Saturday mornings but only with agreement from those staff willing to work it.

Out-of-hours covered by Armac.

We are closed all bank holidays and Sundays.

The Role

The role would suit a small animal vet looking for a practice they can settle in with a, friendly environment, clinical freedom, and time off to enjoy a life outside of work.Because we are a small team, we can be flexible with the rota. We try to accommodate everyone's requirements and work together to meet everyone's needs.Just ask for your ideal rota and we will do our best to work with you.

Successful Candidate

Ideally an enthusiastic and caring vet who enjoys all aspects of general practice and would be happy to work 3 days a week, on a regular basis, but would also be able to work additional days when one of the 2 partners is on holiday.Our clients are very bonded to us so good communications skills are vital to continue this and for you to build your own client base within the practice.Our nursing team are our "family" so the successful candidate must be able to fit into the team, and hopefully become part of the family too.

The Package

  • Financial package around £35.00 per hour
  • RCVS, VDS fees paid and a CPD allowance
  • 5 weeks paid holiday
  • All can be negotiated with weightings on different benefits if desired
  • 2-4 days a week, ask for your ideal working week
  • No on call or weekends
  • There may also be potential for partnership / ownership, in the future, if that is of interest
  • Pension
