You will help us develop and evaluate our enhanced mental health service across the PCNs in the Portsmouth and South East Division. You will offer supervision, training and reflective practice to staff within the service and devote time to direct clinical work including specialist psychological assessments, formulations, groups and individual therapy.
The post could be a band 7 preceptorship towards an 8a role or a 8a. Through our research adults with a serious mental illness have told us first contact is the most important point in successfully starting their recovery. We actively encourage and support our staff to be accredited within at least one therapeutic modality, facilitating access to further training and development opportunities.
Ensure that at the start of a person's recovery, wherever and however a person accesses care they are met with compassion, understanding, and supported with both their physical and mental wellbeing.
Build teams around communities that are close to people's homes, by working with our partners including the voluntary sector, making sure people's recovery is close to their personal support networks.
Provide people who are working across these physical and mental health services with the right support and training, making sure we have creative career options across the area.

Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS, including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology. Accreditation by an appropriate psychotherapy organisation (e.g. Qualification from High Intensity IAPT Course (Post Graduate Diploma) with additional modality training in an interpersonal approach eg CAT, IPT, CCC.
