Job Title: Head of Engineering

About Us: My client is a dynamic and innovative manufacturing company based in the heart of Norwich. As they continue to expand operations, we are seeking a talented and experienced Head of Engineering to lead their engineering team to new heights of success.

Position Overview: As the Head of Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in driving our engineering department forward. We are seeking a visionary leader with a strong background in mechanical or electrical engineering, who has successfully led teams within the manufacturing sector. This is a unique opportunity for someone looking to step up from a principal or lead role and make a significant impact on the growth and development of a local company.

Develop and execute engineering strategies to drive operational efficiency and improve product quality.
Oversee the design, development, and implementation of new products or processes, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
Collaborate closely with other departments, such as production, quality assurance, and R&D, to streamline workflows and optimize productivity.
Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation.
Manage departmental budgets and resources effectively, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical or electrical engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in a leadership role within the manufacturing sector, with a focus on mechanical or electrical engineering.
Strong technical expertise in engineering principles, with the ability to provide guidance and support to team members.
Strategic mindset with a track record of implementing successful engineering strategies and initiatives.
