About the role Balfour Beatty has a terrific opportunity for a Sub Agent to Join our Highways Team working on the A1M1 in Leeds. Our tomorrow is built on a firm foundation. Role Purpose: To lead and control a section of the works, according to a specific discipline. Management of a team of Section Engineers & Site Engineers within same discipline. What you'll be doing Other key responsibilities are: Identifies changes to works information on drawings and wider commercial and contractual implications. Gather information for and produce contract required documentation to support commercial recovery. Manages a team of Section Engineers and Site Engineers Reviews Method Statements and Risk Assessments Lead Accident / Incident Investigations (HFACS and ‘Four Page Report’) Conducts trend analysis and identifies improvement areas from audits and near misses. Conducts field audits and confirms the sufficiency of control documentation. Conducts trend analysis of the above and identifies improvement areas for non-conformance and business improvement. Who we're looking for You will have the following: Able to clearly communicate the requirements of a safe system of work. Holds a current driving license and CSCS Card. SSSTS or SMSTS qualified Understands the principles of Accident / Incident Investigation, with a good working knowledge of the process. A full understanding of technical requirements and techniques of setting out and coaching of team members. Strong knowledge and management of construction process in one or more of the following areas: Earthworks/Drainage, Pavement, Comms, Structures, Roadworks Effective communication skills with good interpersonal and influencing skills. Flexibility to work unsociable hours/nights.
