Shift Leader - Machine Shop
As a Shift Leader in our Machine Shop, you will be responsible for managing the workload, production processes, and staff during your shift. Your role will involve supervising operations to ensure that all tasks are programmed, set, and executed to precise specifications, delivering high-quality components on time. Machine Shop Team Members on your shift


Oversee daily operations and staff supervision.
Collaborate with other Shift Leaders to create and implement weekly/monthly plans aligned with business requirements.
Monitor team performance against defined plans and KPIs.
Quality & Performance Management:
Ensure all work meets drawing and quality standards.
Conduct quality investigations to determine root causes of defects using appropriate tools and methodologies.
Manage performance and disciplinary matters according to company policy.
Identify and address development needs of team members through training and mentorship.
Maintain up-to-date records on time & attendance, training, and disciplinary matters.
Host cell reviews and manage communication boards, reporting to the shift supervisor.
Uphold all company procedures, policies, and health and safety regulations.
Work with the Machine Shop Manufacturing Engineer to address processing issues swiftly.
Deputise in the absence of senior supervision.
Working knowledge of CNC operating and safety procedures.
Methodical work approach with minimal supervision.
Computer literacy; experience with Excel and SAP (beneficial).
