Group Chief Risk Officer Type: Full-Time
Our client, a leading firm in the capital markets sector, is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Group Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to join their executive team. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the risk management landscape of a dynamic and forward-thinking organization.
As the Group Chief Risk Officer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective risk management framework across the organization. You will provide strategic leadership and guidance to ensure that all business activities are conducted within the company’s risk appetite, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in capital markets and a proven track record in managing risk at a senior level.
Develop and oversee the enterprise-wide risk management framework, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives and regulatory standards.
Lead the identification, assessment, and monitoring of risks across all business units, including market, credit, operational, and liquidity risks.
Establish and maintain risk governance structures and processes, including policies, procedures, and reporting mechanisms.
Collaborate with the executive leadership team to integrate risk management into business strategy and decision-making.
Provide expert advice to the Board of Directors and senior management on risk matters, including emerging risks and potential impact on the business.
Drive the continuous improvement of risk management practices through the adoption of advanced risk analytics, tools, and technologies.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and industry guidelines, fostering a strong risk-aware culture across the organization.
Manage and develop a high-performing risk management team, promoting professional growth and excellence.
Extensive experience in risk management within the capital markets sector, including a strong understanding of risk frameworks, governance, and regulatory requirements.
Proven track record in a senior risk leadership role, with the ability to influence and drive change at the executive level.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop actionable insights.
A strategic mindset, with the ability to balance risk management with business objectives and drive long-term value creation.
Relevant qualifications in finance, risk management, or a related field; FRM, CFA, PRM) are highly desirable.
