At Haas, you’ll be involved in many different areas of the team, an assortment of projects and plenty of hands-on experience while collaborating with some of the best minds in the world.
 
This position reports to the Head of Electronics or their designee; Responsibilities include the harness and parts design for the on and off-car chassis electronics system in accordance with the F1 technical regulations.
 
Support the electronic design engineer with the following tasks:

Design of on and off-car harnesses, units and other assemblies ensuring they meet performance and reliability requirements.
Design of FIA, FOM and supplier component installations in accordance with their requirements, working closely with mechanical design.
Continuously monitor and improve on and off car installations, design standards and operational processes and procedures.
Provide installation manuals & associated documentation to aid trackside installation of harnesses, units, sensors and associated brackets.
Other duties as assigned by the Head of Electronics or their designee.
 
Education and Work Experience:
University Degree (concluded or enrolled) is required, preferably in Electronics or Electrical Engineering. Previous experience of working in an Electronics design role in motorsports or automotive environment is beneficial.
 
Have a sound understanding of electronics design and ability to follow guidance to produce accurate drawings and hardware layouts.

~ Strong technical background in automotive or motorsport experience is favored

Experience of working with CAD design packages is a plus
scientific and analytical approach, and pro-active attitude
A can-do positive approach and a willingness to help others is essential.
 
Solid computer knowledge experience in Microsoft Office products
CAD (e.g. Catia/3DX) and PCB Design Tools experience is beneficial
Ability to follow complex regulations related to shipment of materials and facility maintenance requirements.
 
The role requires a willingness to work long and flexible hours including weekends.
 
This position may require lifting to 50 pounds, repeated bending, squatting and manual dexterity. Work environment includes machinery, race cars, 7-post and other rigs, grinding debris, and hazardous fluids.
