They will be responsible for coordinating early setup and implementation of the engineering applications and related projects based on project mandate along with information management plan
Responsible for data integrity and control prior to issue to Client via population of the Asset Database
Supervise Project Information Management Plan for projects. Coordination of project/client requirements for data integration & handover
Good understanding and delivery of final handover to client including data, projects and documents guidelines and prepare PIM plan early on the project
Prepare of software & hardware budget estimates and budget estimates for bids. Assist in Engineering IT Support man-hour estimates for the bids for execution
Prepare budget estimates for proposals – Engineering IT and Information Management
Liaise with [global] project teams (& Vendors, Sub-contractors as required) to promote, explain and ensure compliance with Data Collection requirements and assist as required to support timely delivery of information
Coordination of Project setup & Project Information management plan with project team in conjunction with Engineering IT Manager
Plan and co-ordinate the day-to-day data management activities and collection processes
Review and develop plans to comply with the relevant sections of the project contract & requirements
Coordination of early setup of the document management system along with data management
Provide feedback to Project Management concerning training and implementation strategies. Liaise with global project teams to promote, explain and ensure compliance with Data Collection requirements and assist as required to support timely delivery of information from/with various disciplines
Liaise closely with project teams to encourage an integrated approach to naming conventions, tag management and data-centric information management
Ensure compliance with the Data Quality Management Framework
Co-ordinates and manages the data input & requirements throughout project execution across multiple engineering applications (from Hexagon/AVEVA)
Manage day-to-day interfaces and relationship with Engineering Disciplines and encourage positive participation
Provide support to users in data collection and data management tools and work methods
Providing feedback to Project Management concerning training and implementation strategies
Liaise with Construction and/or Completions team personnel to ensure commissioning/operational hand-over requirements are understood & being met
Develop and measure KPI’s, Training plans for the direct reports
Constantly detecting and taking advantage of opportunities to improve team performance, quality, and communication
Good understanding of 2D & 3D intelligent applications and data used
Good experience in one or more engineering disciplines (piping, structural, E&I)
Degree in engineering or equivalent technical diploma. Strong understanding of current engineering design, drafting applications and engineering data integration software packages.
Minimum 10-15 years’ experience in one or more engineering disciplines.
Desirable with previous experience as PIM managing engineering data requirements throughout project execution, coordination and effective handover. Excellent understanding of engineering practices & project execution concepts.
