What you'll be doing:

Develop Planning applications, Building Regs, detailed design for highways/drainage/structures, and construction drawings.

Produce drawing packages including design calculations for all stages of development to provide the most cost-effective solution.

Land and Building surveying.

Provide structural design advice and expertise to construction projects.

Support the delivery team and Client to fulfill its designers' responsibilities under CDM.

Checking compliance with Client specifications and current regulatory standards.

Your skills and experiences:

ESSENTIAL:

  • Degree/HNC/HND in Civil/Structural Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent understanding of the 2015 CDM Regulations.
  • Practical design experience in construction within the industrial sector (client or contractor biased).
  • AutoCAD proficient.
  • An ability to design from first principles.

DESIRABLE:

  • Member or working towards membership in a related Professional Engineering Institution.
  • Working in a defense-related industry background.
  • Working in a design consultancy position.
