JAM Recruitment is working in partnership with a market-leading manufacturing business based in Telford in the search for a Head of Manufacturing to join them on a permanent basis at a time of exciting business change and ambitious plans for growth.
Your role will be to provide leadership to the production and manufacturing team to ensure all products are manufactured according to the production plan and in accordance with internal and external quality, legal, and safety standards.
Leading the day-to-day production activities, overseeing the whole production and manufacturing process.
# Headcount management.
# Monitoring quality, safety, and overall standards of the Production department.
# Identifying opportunities for process improvement, making recommendations where necessary, adopting a continuous improvement approach using LEAN manufacturing methods.
# Ensuring that factory hygiene and health and safety standards are achieved and maintained in line with internal and regulatory requirements.
# Generating production reports, analyzing KPIs, and presenting to senior management.

Proven experience in a manufacturing/production management role.
# Food manufacturing or food packaging background - highly desirable.
# Good manufacturing engineering knowledge with strong understanding of production machinery and equipment.
# Experience in leading and training a manufacturing/production team.
