Test Engineer

Location: Leeds, United Kingdom

Contract Duration: 12 Months (Starting September)

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer with specialized experience in Migration Data Mapping, preferably with expertise in UDMH. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of data migration processes for our upcoming project based in Leeds, UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to validate data mapping processes.
  • Conduct data profiling and analysis.
  • Utilize strong SQL skills to perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) operations.
  • Execute technical tests to verify the reliability of migration tools and processes.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot data discrepancies, errors, and failures, providing timely resolution and mitigation strategies.
  • Document test results, findings, and recommendations for process improvements.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on testing objectives and outcomes.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Migration Data Mapping, ideally with exposure to UDMH.
  • Demonstrable expertise in SQL, with the ability to write complex queries for data analysis and manipulation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Prior experience in data migration projects or similar initiatives is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic project environment.
