WHAT TO EXPECT
As the Facility Engineer you will have the opportunity to Join us on our Refocus and Reimagine journey as we shape the future of our products and how they are manufactured in our global manufacturing plants. This role will be within the Global Manufacturing Engineering Off-Cycle team, with a focus on Trim & Final operations. The role a large focus on future technology and innovation for all manufacturing facilities and equipment. The focus of new technology should be on improving OPR, MTTR, MTBF and Cost, with data driven analysis to articulate the improvement. You will be working within the Product Engineering on future technology development, commodity strategy reviews and Trim & Final technology forum to capture new facility and equipment requirements, develop standards and work with delivery teams to implement.
Key Responsibilities
Be part of a team of Facility Engineers defining manufacturing requirements and facility and equipment standards across Trim & Final
A large focus on future technology and innovation for all manufacturing facilities and equipment
The focus of new technology should be on improving OPR, MTTR, MTBF and Cost, with data driven analysis to articulate the improvement
We have a wealth of knowledge split across our platform teams; this team will bring the knowledge together with innovation, external benchmarking, and future technology improvements in mind
Work with Product Engineering on future technology development, commodity strategy reviews and Trim & Final technology forum to capture new facility and equipment requirements, develop standards and work with delivery teams to implement
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Essential
Proven experience of facility development within Trim & Final (the procurement and delivery of new facilities or the analysis and improvement of facilities).
Experience of Trim & Final processes
Experience of assembly operations within manufacturing.
Experience of reliability and maintainability principals and an understanding of the environmental impacts of engineering solutions.
Thorough understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Design for Assembly principles.
A continuous improvement mindset.
Excellent data analysis, report writing and presentation skills.
Ability to work in a fast moving/changing environment.
Flexible approach to job responsibilities, work location and working hours.
Possess a valid driving licence, required to travel to different UK sites when required.
