Sustainability Executive

A new role has become available for a Sustainability Executive to join our team at Fuller’s. Your role will involve assisting our Sustainability Director in implementing our sustainability initiative, "Life is too good to waste," by actively involving and enhancing the skills of our teams, suppliers, and partners in various sustainability areas. You will be responsible for managing our environmental compliance and supporting our sustainability champions in driving action across the business aligned to our program.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead data collection, analysis, and validation of sustainability metrics, compiling reports for both internal and external stakeholders, while aiding in the establishment of data reporting systems.
  • Collaborate with the Operations team to implement behavioural changes aimed at reducing energy consumption and increasing recycling efforts.
  • Assist the Sustainability Director in the day-to-day management of key waste, energy, and carbon suppliers, as well as consultants.
  • Work alongside Sustainability Champions and other stakeholders to enhance their understanding and skills in all areas of sustainability.
  • Partner with the communications team to create engaging videos and content to raise awareness internally and externally.
  • Liaise closely with internal stakeholders to deliver the sustainability section of the annual report and meet environmental regulation requirements.
  • Maintain the climate risk register and stay updated on related regulatory compliance and horizon scanning.

  • Strong evaluation skills with the ability to analyse the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives.
  • Capacity to build relationships and secure commitment from others.

Required Experience, Training, and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (business, sustainability, accountancy), with additional qualifications in environmental studies .
  • Experience in energy and environmental management, risk assessment, compliance, and governance is desirable.
  • Proficient in computer software platforms such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with sustainability reporting standards such as TCFD, ISO14001, and CDP.
  • Self-motivated with a genuine enthusiasm and passion for sustainability.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build relationships both internally and externally.
  • Capable of driving change through relationship-building and inspiring others.
  • Good project management skills
