Description

As a Multi Skills Tutor you will aim to achieve contract profiles working in conjunction with learners, employers and workplace supervisors. Supporting learners through their Training or Apprenticeship process in line with awarding body guidelines. You will support, train and guide learners and develop their skills and abilities with regards to lifelong learning and their chosen program. Also identify and address learners training requirements and barriers to employment

Key Result Areas

  • Achieving qualifications within given timescales, whilst maintaining quality in delivery.
  • Ensuring that the team as a whole achieves its objectives.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all paperwork is of high quality and submitted within set timescales.
  • Identify the needs of learners through one-to-one interviews
  • As a Multi Skills Tutor you will prepare, deliver and review comprehensive lesson plans that address the identified training needs of the learner group
  • Uses varied delivery techniques to engage and stimulate both individuals and client groups and increase learner retention. This may include off-site activities. Confidently instruct both individuals and groups.
  • Has a sound knowledge and understanding of the contractual requirements e.g. learner attendance and discipline; ensures equal opportunities, safeguarding and health and safety procedures are adhered to
  • Completion of all necessary administration e.g. reviews, timesheets, training plans
  • Act in a professional manner always when dealing with customers both internally and externally. (Colleagues, individuals, and outside agencies)
  • Ensure that office-based staff is kept fully always informed of candidate progress.
  • Promote and share good practice throughout the delivery of qualifications.
  • Produce up to date statistical and management information for review by line manager.
  • To comply with all company processes and procedures
  • Update systems as required.
  • Contribute to maintaining delivery, practical and knowledge-based skills and identify and record occupational training provided
  • Support and maintain the quality assurance process for assessment, training and verification purposes, in line with polices and all related awarding body procedures and guidelines
  • Committed to continuous improvement personal and organisational.
  • Increase the profile of the company by assisting in the marketing of Traineeships, Apprenticeship, Work Based Learning and other services
  • Ensure equality and diversity procedures are fully adhered to.
  • Contribute towards the development of an inclusive learning environment.
  • Carry out any additional duties as reasonably requested by line management

Scope

  • As a Multi Skills Tutor you may occasionally be required to work out of normal hours
  • Must have a full driving licence, their own vehicle and business insurance (may not apply in certain areas) (desirable)
  • Candidates may be spread over a wide geographical area, so travelling is essential.

Qualifications

  • Teaching qualification - CertEd, PGCE, DTLLS, PTLLS, CTLLS, 7302, 7407, Level 3 Award in Education
  • A1 Assessor Award desirable (TAQA, D32, CAVA or equivalent)
  • IQA award, V1 or D34 (desirable)
  • Construction courses :- CSCS card and minimum level 2 in trade taught
  • Strong Occupationally competent in accordance with awarding body guidelines
  • Construction:- Site/ trade experience
  • Demonstrate an ability to deliver NVQs and manage training courses.
