We're seeking a results-driven, hands-on Warehouse Operations Manager to optimize processes, lead our team, and effectively manage resources in a fast-paced wooden garden panel products warehouse. The ideal candidate will roll up their sleeves and spend 70% of their time on the warehouse floor, implementing efficiency improvements and ensuring smooth operations during peak seasons.
Key Responsibilities:

Optimize warehouse layout, picking processes, and replenishment strategies to achieve a 20% increase in output per head
Develop and execute effective resource planning strategies to navigate seasonal demand fluctuations
Lead, train, and motivate a team of 10 experienced warehouse pickers and operatives
Maintain strict location discipline, ensure accurate inventory management, and improve OTIF performance
Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement continuous improvement initiatives
Collaborate with production, sales, and transport teams to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfillment
Key Characteristics:

Hands-on approach: Willing to spend the majority of time on the warehouse floor, leading by example and working alongside the team
Resource planning expertise: Proven ability to effectively plan and allocate resources in response to fluctuating demand

Minimum of 5 years of warehouse management experience, preferably in a manufacturing or retail environment with fluctuating demand
Proven success in implementing process improvements and driving efficiency gains in a hands-on role
Demonstrated experience in effective resource planning and allocation in response to changing demand
Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making abilities
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to perform essential job functions in a fast-paced warehouse environment
