Software Engineer with DevOps training

As a Software Engineer, you’ll be helping to drive our product and engineering department forward, working on different parts of the Paddle ecosystem and helping our customers sell their products on a platform they trust and rely on.
PHP/Laravel and Python/Django for our classic system
Docker in production and local development
AWS ECS Fargate and AWS EKS for our runtime
AWS SQS for our asynchronous message queues
AWS Eventbridge for our event bus
Aurora MySQL and PostgreSQL for persistent data storage
Cloudflare for our firewall and DNS server
Develop applications using one of our supported languages; Go and PHP
Practise DevOps, you’re responsible for getting your code to production, supporting and monitoring its performance via SLOs
Use the latest AWS services available to run your code
Test your and your teammate’s code, both manually and with unit and integration tests where applicable
Help design a stable platform to support continuous growth
Have a solid development background with Go or PHP experience
Have experience designing and building systems to handle high traffic at scale in a cloud-based environment in AWS
A strong understanding of the development process - from design through to deployment, maintenance, and what that means for day-to-day development
