Accountabilities

IT and Communications Management ?

  • Ensure alignment of IT & comms strategies/initiatives with the strategic objectives.?
  • Lead the day-to-day management of IT to ensure effective and efficient operation of all Cathedral business, providingtimely and responsive End User hardware/software and query support.?
  • Provide technical lead oversight and support to the IT Support Engineer team
  • Ensure secure and cost-efficient management of YM IT, communications, and data – within budget.?
  • Implement, embed, and continuously improve the utilisation of tools and systems that enhance cross-departmentalefficiency and collaboration.?
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, exploring and implementing innovative solutions where appropriateto support the delivery of strategic objectives, such as digital transformation opportunities.?
  • Establish appropriate processes and plans for managing upgrades/releases.?
  • Cohere and coordinate change requests from the business, especially those related to new requirements or softwareconfiguration. Advise and guide on all YM IT/Comms related matters, ensuring alignment to IT & Comms Strategy &Plan.?
  • Develop a rolling plan and approach that is adequately resourced from both technical and business implementationperspectives to support requirements on the team from an infrastructure, hardware, software, data and end-usersupport perspective.?
  • Ensure appropriate KPIs/SLAs are developed to report on performance, manage expectations and meet therequirements of the YM organization, such as uptime and availability of core systems.?
  • Safeguard YM's digital assets, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data, and mitigating cybersecurityrisks.?
  • Lead on all IT project management, including planning, execution, and successful delivery of IT & comms projects.?
  • Ensure appropriate business continuity and disaster recovery plans are in place and understood by relevant teams.?
