Medical Science Liaison - New Team Build – Oncology (Ovarian Cancer) - UK / Poland / Hungary

IQVIA's dynamic medical affairs team is seeking 5 experienced MSLs (Medical Science Liaisons) for an exciting new project in the oncology sector. This opportunity is on behalf of a pharmaceutical company at the forefront of cortisol modulation in oncology, investigating the potential of a first-in-class oncology product.

Their portfolio consists of therapies designed to modulate the effects of cortisol, offering new possibilities in the treatment of ovarian cancer and other malignancies. These therapies are being studied in clinical trials, aiming to deliver innovative solutions for unmet clinical needs in oncology.

This field-based MSL position offers an exciting opportunity to join IQVIA partnering with our client organisation as they expand into the European market.

Requirements:

We are seeking candidates with the following skills and profile:

  • Highly motivated, experienced pharma industry MSL with demonstrable success
  • Deep oncology therapy area knowledge essential, ideally within gynaecological oncology
  • Experience working as a ‘pipeline’ MSL or in another role within the clinical trials environment is highly desirable
  • Outstanding communication and engagement skills
  • Strong scientific background – ideally PhD, PharmD, MD
  • Eligibility to work in the UK full time (please note although this position covers 3 countries, most of the trial sites are in the UK so applicants must already be UK based)
  • Full driving license with willingness to travel to clinical trial sites /hospitals throughout the territory as required

Responsibilities:

  • Provide field-based medical support to the company’s clinical research programs
  • Deliver credible presentations on scientific matters related to cortisol modulation in oncology, and provide information about the investigational drug to investigators in company-sponsored research
  • Engage with clinical trial site investigators and staff to understand enrolment/screening barriers from a medical perspective and work collaboratively to find potential medical solutions with the aim of supporting clinical trial enrolment
  • Provide support to clinical development and operations teams through site recommendations, initiation visits, facilitation of communication, and accrual support activities
  • Engage in accurate, fair, and balanced scientific exchanges with external parties
  • Report field intelligence, including perspectives about compounds, and the treatment landscape
  • Establish and maintain a close working relationship with site management & monitoring staff, and assist in facilitating the initiation and conduct of prioritized clinical trials
