Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is looking for an experienced & passionate Infrastructure & Systems Engineer to join the RM Digital Services team (RMH Digital). This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated & professional individual to join the team & work collaboratively to improve the service RMH Digital provides to the Trust.
The Role:The successful candidate will provide comprehensive technical expertise in performing support, monitoring, maintenance, implementation, upgrades, & project work within the IT infrastructure. Will also have a good understanding & knowledge of IT gained through three to five year's relevant experience & they will be required to work without supervision at times across multiple locations.
Knowledge & understanding of modern technologies, operating systems, system tools, device architecture & peripherals including but not limited to:o Microsofto Azureo Office 365o Microsoft Intune, SCCMo Server & Service technologieso Active Directory Domain, Microsoft Public Key Infrastructure, Remote Access (RDP, AoVPN, DirectAccess), Other MS Server roles & featureso Dell Platformso VXrail / Isilon & ECS, Backup services, Data Domain & Networker platformso VMwareo VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)o Securityo Trend Mirco, Microsoft ATP, Trustwave Mail & Web Security Gateway technologies
The post holder will provide comprehensive technical expertise in performing BAU Support, monitoring, maintenance, implementation, upgrades, and project work within the IT infrastructure.
The post holder will also have a good understanding and knowledge of IT gained through three to five year's relevant experience and they will be required to work without supervision at times across multiple locations.

To work as part of the Digital Operations Infrastructure team to support, monitor and maintain the Trusts IT Infrastructure.
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Cloud and On-Prem infrastructure.
Working closely with project and solutions architect teams to review, interpret and respond to detailed business specifications. Ensure that services and components meet and continue to meet all their agreed performance targets and service levels.
Prepare and maintain operational documentation for infrastructure, services and softwares.
To ensure all operational processes are documented in accordance with Trust and departmental standards and policies.
Educated to degree level or equivalent IT experience


Microsoft Azure/O365 Certified: ITIL Foundation Certificate in Service Management, v3/v4

Significant previous experience of providing Third line IT support
Microsoft o Azure ? General Server Hosting ? Windows Virtual Desktop ? Azure Active Directory o Office 365 ? Exchange Online (Hybrid) ? SharePoint ? AD Connect o Microsoft Endpoint ? Other MS Server roles and features o Dell Platforms o VXrail o Isilon and ECS o Backup services ? Data Domain and Networker platforms o VMware o ESXC V5.5 upwards o VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) o Security o Bit locker, Trend Mirco, Microsoft ATP, Trustwave Mail and Web Security Gateway technologies
Experience in IT Service Management, operating within Service Level Agreements and following working policies and protocols. Excellent communication skills especially when dealing with complex technical information and colleagues who have limited IT knowledge and understanding
