Role DescriptionThis is a full-time role for a Project Engineer. We welcome applications from recent graduates through to experienced professionals. We are looking for a dynamic PE with aspirations to deliver products, solutions and projects to the highest standard. You will be supported to take responsibility for the project (or projects) from initial customer contact, throughout the quotation phase all the way to final delivery. You will need to manage multiple actions, often with conflicting requirements, and deliver both the engineering and project management. You will have a team with broad knowledge and experience to support you achieve great results. Projects will range from short (days) to multi-year projects and include research, innovation, site works, standard products (and associated manufacturing and supply chain demands) and many other aspects across the renewable energy, gas and electricity industries. To compliment our existing team, we would prefer a process or E&I engineer, however, the right person with any engineering discipline will be considered and encouraged to apply. The role is based in Stone, Staffordshire and we encourage flexible working wherever possible whilst ensuring project demands are met and all targets achieved. The role is UK based, however, many of our current projects are for international clients and so could include infrequent international travel. More regular travel to UK based suppliers and customers is anticipated.
Person SpecificationThe most important attribute to succeed in this role is your attitude. You must be dynamic, flexible and motivated. You must thrive in an environment of conflicting priorities and welcome the opportunity to deliver on all aspects of the project lifecycle from sales through to commissioning and site support.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in project management and project planning
- Strong technical skills in project engineering
- Experience in the green energy industry is a plus
- A degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent extensive hands-on experience
- Ability to interpret and mark-up technical drawings and documents
- Strong communication skills and excellent team working attributes
- Comfortable speaking with clients
- Ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Computer literate
