DeputyNursery Manager – Qualifications & Experience

  • Achildcare and education qualification equivalent to NVQ level 3
  • Previous experience of managing a room or team within anursery setting
  • A formal management qualification isdesirable although not essential
  • A current First Aidqualification.
  • A sound understanding of the Early YearsFoundation Stage (EYFS)
  • A thorough knowledge of safeguardingprocedures

Deputy Nursery Manager – KeyResponsibilities

  • To support the implementation ofthe Early Years Foundation Stage, including overseeing planning andrecord keeping
  • Promote and facilitate partnership withparents/carers and other family members
  • Support with thedevelopment of and maintaining highly professional workingrelationships with relevant Local Authority departments, regulatorybodies and other agencies
  • Remain abreast of currentdevelopments in childcare and education policies and practices
  • Assist the Manager with maintaining accurate accounts for thenursery and produce management information in accordance with companyprocedures
  • Assist with the preparation and delivery ofregular staff, planning and parent meetings and other events.
